Been with GVH since
July, 2007

I grew up in Wagga Wagga, before travelling to the University of Sydney to study. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in terrestrial biology in 1996 before graduating with honours in 2002 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science.

After qualification as a vet, I started work in mixed practice in Braidwood, NSW where I got to experience working with and treating a large range of animals, from horses to mice. I then spent 2 years in the United Kingdom working as a travelling locum, working in mixed and small practice in glamorous places like Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire and Llanrwst, Nth Wales, interspersed with holidays exploring Europe.

On return to Australia, I continued with locum work in Oberon, NSW and Townsville for a few months before starting at Gungahlin Vet Hospital in July 2007.

Since starting at GVH, I have continued to enjoy the challenge of small animal surgery and medicine, in particular doing further study in ultrasound, which has allowed more detailed imaging of the abdomen and heart. I have particular interests in cardiology, surgery and diagnostic imaging including endoscopy.

In my time in Canberra, I have also accumulated a naughty Labrador (Fenella), a cat (San Miguel), a wife (Seonaid) and a son (Phineas) and daughter (Rosalind), which interferes somewhat with my rugby obsession. In my spare time I enjoy skiing, golf, the cinema and try to keep fit at the gym.
